Denmark is one of the first countries in the world to “earmark” financing for developing countries to strength their capacities to tackle climate change in the short term (2010-2012) and will fund to help them 0.16 billion Euro.The Danish funding is in line with EU’s opinion that deal is needed on both “fast start” financing for developing countries from 2010 to 2012, followed by a significant scaling up of public and private financial flows to developing countries from 2013. EU has estimated the need for 2010 – 2012 to 5 to 7 billion euro, according to EU business.
In the second day of COP15 in Copenhagen still
the same debate concerning global warming. Negotiators at the Copenhagen
climate change should agree to limit global warming to two degree Celsius by
mid of this century and countries must make better offers of actions.
The German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that
the aim of this conference must be an international commitment to the limiting
of global warming to two degrees by 2050 (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit), and for that
all must step up their offers, in particular countries like China and India
that don't yet recognize this 2 degrees aim.
Monday 7th
of December 2009 is the largest and most important opening UN climate change
conference in history which is taking place in the Bella Center in Copenhagen.
The
conference in Copenhagen is the 15th Conference Of the Parties (COP
15) in the Framework Convention on Climate Change with diplomats from 192 nations
warned that this would be the best, last chance for a deal to protect the world
from calamitous global warming.
