CNN broadcast event “Solutions to End Human Trafficking”

Rome, 8th November, 19:00 hrs    



The Link Campus University will host the globally broadcast event “Solutions to End Human Trafficking”, as part of the CNN Freedom Project, with the sponsorship of the Essam & Dalal Obaid Foundation.



The event is meant to stimulate an internationally relevant debate on modern forms of human exploitation in the context of the current migration crisis in Europe. The discussion will explore concrete ways to tackle the root causes of trafficking in human beings with a preventive approach.


High-level representatives from the European Union, the Italian government and NGOs will take part in the event. Migrants will also be present and give voice to their points of view.

Background: Last May the Link Campus University Foundation and the Essam & Dalal Obaid Foundation signed an agreement to establish the Obaid Centre for War and Peace Studies at the premises of Link Campus University in Rome.


In the frame of the Freedom Project, CNN aims at amplifying the voices of the victims of modern-day slavery, highlight success stories and help unravel the tangle of criminal enterprises trading in human life.
