He is Associate Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, Health and Health Professions, Link Campus University of Rome (on leave until 31/12/2024). He is a member of the Artificial Intelligence and Medical Devices working groups of the General Directorate of Health and Welfare of the Emilia-Romagna Region. He is a medical expert in Regulatory Medicine, particularly in Medical Devices Regulation. Education: degree in Medicine and Surgery, specialization in Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health.

Research: His research interest focuses on the development, implementation and evaluation of digital health systems, tools and devices (including artificial intelligence), specifically within complex health systems. Other research topics include health services research, applied epidemiology, implementation science, health policy and science of science.
