Giuseppe Migliara is Associate Professor of General and Applied Hygiene at Link Campus University. In 2009, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Università del Sacro Cuore, where he then obtained his specialization in Clinical Pathology. He later completed his residency in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine at La Sapienza University in Rome, where he also completed his Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases, Microbiology and Public Health. 
Previously, he held the position of Temporary Researcher (Type A) in General and Applied Hygiene at the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases, La Sapienza University of Rome. 

His research mainly focuses on the epidemiology of infectious diseases, with special attention to infections associated with care in intensive care units, focusing on multidrug-resistant microorganisms. Furthermore, he is working on public health genomics, with particular interest in health technology assessment of genetic/genomic applications and accuracy assessment of diagnostic tests. More recent fields of research include the integration of geospatial data with epidemiological and clinical data in order to improve the management of health services. He has more than 60 publications in international scientific journals to his credit.
