Purposes

Bringing innovation and smart technology management into the Italian public administration and integrating new technologies into the public system is now not only a necessity, but also a regulatory obligation.

Nowadays, it has become a must for all stakeholders in the public sector to be trained in the new concept of Smart Public Administration, so that they can gain professional skills to work with Smart Cities, enabling technologies for Public Administration, networking and distruptive innovation in local authorities, emerging concepts of New Public Management, Digital Transformation and Smart Governance.

The Master in Smart Public Administration aims to provide management, organizational and leadership knowledge required to govern the digital transformation of the Public Administration and its transition to the future of Public Government 4.0.

The main objective is to train figures capable of concretely supporting the public administrations on issues related to technological and process innovation, information systems, listening tools, involvement of stakeholders and, more in general, on management principles for the innovation of material and immaterial assets.

Thanks to the knowledge of the relevant legislation and the conscious use of new technologies, the students will be able to design, manage and promote technological integration pathways in the public area.

Admission

The candidates of the Master must be in possession of a Bachelor's Degree (minimum requirement for the admission to the Master), a Specialist Degree, Master's Degree and/or "old system" Degree attained at an italian University or an equivalent institution. The candidates in possession of an academic title obtained abroad must be in possession of the declaration of value of the aforementioned qualification, issued by the competent Italian diplomatic or consular representatives of the country in which they obtained the qualification.

He is Associate Editor for Nature Publishing Group, Springer, Palgrave MacMillan. Director for Research and Scholarly Relations dell’EuroMed Research Business Institute.

Director, along with Raffaele Galano and Piergiorgio Valente of the Eurilink "Management, Finance and Corporate Tax" book series.

He is head of the Italian Society of Management (SIMA). Over the years, he has developed active collaborations on marketing, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and innovation with various organisations and has held key roles on the boards of consortia and companies, both public and private, in the fields of avionics, advanced biotechnology, nutraceutics, biocomposting, information technology and communication.

He was promotor/tutor of more than 30 academic spin offs in the sector of biotechnology, renewable energy and agri-food.

He is a Chartered Accountant.

His scientific  interests are mainly related to the themes of innovation management, technology management, marketing, and knowledge management.

He is Councillor for Innovation at the Municipality of Turin, where he pursues a policy aimed at innovation and digitalization.

He is full professor of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Turin - Department of Computer Science, Director of ICxT. He authored more than 90 publications. 

His main research interests are retated to strategy, innovation management, modelling and business planning.

Current role: professor Master in Smart Public Administration at Linl Campus University.

She attained the tile of PhD in Analysis of economic and social systems: businesses, institutions and territory at the Department of Business Science of the University of Sannio, with a thesis titled  Dalla rendicontazione sociale alla misurazione delle performance. Esigenze di accountability e tendenze nei sistemi di rendicontazione della pubblica amministrazione.

She has qualified as associate professor in Economics and Business Management. She collaborates with businesses and public administrations for research and development and technology transfer.

She was associate editor of of the Journal of Intellectual Capital (Emerald) and social media editor of the Journal of Knowledge Management (Emerald).

Currently, she holds the position of Managing Regional Real Impact Editors – Europe of Journal of Knowledge Management (Emerald), and is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) and of various international magazines, such as the Journal of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Springer), Journal of Learning and Intellectual Capital (Inderscience).

Furthermore, she holds the position of auditor for various international magazines.

During the 11st Annual Euromed Conference of the EuroMed Academy of Business (2017) she won the Best Area Director Award for the activity carried out for the Euromed Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Center.

Recently, she participated as keynote speaker to a series of world conferences, such as the latest IEEE

He graduated in Business Administration at "Seconda Università degli studi" in Naples, and attained a master in Management Control and Information Systems "Parthenope" University in Naples.

He is Professor of Management of Tourism Enterprises and territorial marketing, Business Creation, Corporate Strategy & Governance, Project Financing, Business Strategy, Digital Technologies for Business, Innovation Management.

He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board and ad hoc reviewer of various international magazines.

Current role: Associate Professor of Economy and Business Management at Link Campus University, Rome.

He is an entrepreneur and marketing expert, a passion that has grown during his years as Foreign Trade professor at the Ca' Foscari University.

His skills as a salesman and his love of travelling led him to travel the world as an export manager for ten years.

Then, he took the decision to devote himself to the world of start-ups, first as a consultant and then as actual founder and CEO.

Currently, he is Innovation Team leader for the Municipality of Turin and holds the position of head of innovation for Torino City Lab.

He is PhD student at the University of Turin with focus on innovation for circular economy.

In 1999, he graduated in Economics and Business at the Ca' Foscari University in Venice. In 2007 he attained an Executive Master in Entrepreneurship and International Management at the Kansas School of Business.

During his career he had various opportunities to teach as a lecturer and guest speaker in innovation and entrepreneurship, at university courses, corporate training events, entrepreneurship workshops and international events.

Current Role: He is Innovation Team leader for the Municipality of Turin and holds the position of head of innovation for Torino City Lab; member of the teaching staff of the Master in Smart Public Administration at Link Campus University.

She attained a PhD in Business Administration at the University of Bari.

Currently, Armando Papa, Ph.D, is associate professor of Management at the Faculty of Communication Science, University of Teramo.

Senior Lecturer in Management of Technological Innovation at the Campus Gemelli - Università “Cattolica del Sacro Cuore”.

Previously, he was a member of the teaching staff at the University of Rome “Universitas Mercatorum”.

In 2020, he attained the italian national qualification as full professor.

He was a research fellow at the University of Turin and attained a PhD in Management at the University of Naples “Federico II” and a Master in Finance (2011).

He is also a member of the EuroMed Research Business Institute.

He won the Best Paper Award at the 9a EuroMed Conference of Warsaw (Poland) in 2016.

He is specialized in Knowledge Management, Open Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship, Corporate Governance and Family Business.

Each candidate of Master's Degree is required to prepare a professional training Project Work consistent with the topics covered by the course. Said Project Work is an integral part of the Master's teaching activity, and is subject to assessment, providing 15 university training credits (CFU). The aim of the final project is to submit one or more innovative and/or improving solutions through an in-depth study of context variables, processes and application models. The project may involve either the innovation of an activity, or the setting up or changing of an organisational structure, or even the improvement of a new operational procedure or the development of a new process. The PW can be individual or group: in the latter case, the individual contribution will be subject to specific evaluation.

 

The candidates will be required to take a final test at the end of each Unit. The grade attained for each test (expressed in thirtieths) will be an integral part of the final grade of the Master.
