Journalist, writer and academic professor, Marco Accordi Rickards is Executive Director of the Vigamus Foundation, an organisation for which he directs VIGAMUS - The Video Game Museum of Rome and Vigamus Academy, a School of Advanced Training in Game Development. Professor of Theory and Criticism of Multimedia Works at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, he is Programme Leader of the Gaming courses at the Link Campus University of Rome, where he teaches History and Journalism of Videogames, Interactive Storytelling and Videogame Criticism. In addition to collaborating with various organisations including RAI, Treccani, devcom and Leonardo Interactive, he is Director of Game Pro, the monthly video game criticism magazine produced by Idra Editing for Sprea Editori, and of the online magazine GamesVillage.it. His books include Che cos'è un videogioco (Carocci Editore), Storia del videogioco. Dagli anni Cinquanta a oggi (Carocci Editore) and Il videogioco. Markets, games, players (Mondadori).
