Agnese Graziosi is a Researcher in Pharmacology (BIOS/11) at Link Campus University.
She graduated with distinction in Pharmacy at the Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna in 2017, and in 2021 she attained a PhD in Biotechnological, Biocomputational, Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences at the same university, and in 2025 she specialised in Pharmacology and Clinical Toxicology at the University of Milan, where she also completed a Master’s degree in Phase 1 Clinical Trials in Oncology. In 2026, she attained the National Academic Qualification as an associate professor in Pharmacology.
Since 2017, she has been conducting research at the Laboratory of Experimental Toxicology within the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology at the University of Bologna, first as a PhD student and then as a research fellow, and since 2024 at the Department of Oncology and Haematological Oncology at the University of Milan.
Between 2019 and 2020, she was a Visiting Graduate Student at the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, Cambridge, USA), with the support of the Marco Polo Programme and the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF).
Her scientific work combines neuropharmacology, experimental toxicology and clinical pharmacology: she investigates the molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer’s disease, circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of neurodegeneration, and the neurotoxicity of endocrine disruptors, using in vitro models based on induced pluripotent stem cells, mouse models and transcriptomic approaches.
In the clinical field, she focuses on the pharmacokinetic and toxicity analysis of chemotherapeutic agents, with particular reference to hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), and on the development of predictive models for personalized therapy.
She authored articles published in international peer-reviewed journals and, in 2022, received the SIF–Farmindustria Award for Pharmacological Research.
She is a member of the Italian Society of Pharmacology and the Italian Society of Toxicology, a member of the Executive Committee of SITOX Giovani, and a member of the editorial board of SIF Magazine and the Italian Journal of Toxicology.
Since 2025/26, she has been an Adjunct Professor in Pharmacology at the University of Milan.
