Chiara Del Prete is Tenure Track Researcher (RTT) at Link Campus University in Rome in the field of veterinary obstetrics, gynaecology, andrology and neonatology (MVET-05/B). In 2013 she graduated in Veterinary Medicine and in 2018 she attained a PhD with European Label in Veterinary Sciences. In 2022, she attained the National Academic Qualification as an Associate Professor (Competition Sector 07/H5 - MVET-05/B).

Her outstanding academic career has been shaped by her time at the University of Naples “Federico II” and the University of Bologna, focusing on domestic animal reproduction, equine perinatology and reproductive biotechnology. From a clinical perspective, she holds positions of great responsibility, having served as the point of contact for cases involving equine reproduction and neonatology since 2019 for the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production at the University of Naples. She has also completed her residency at the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR), specializing in Animal Reproductive Biotechnology, and is awaiting the attainment of the European Diploma.

Her scientific work, supported by ongoing collaborations with national and international research groups, is evidenced by several publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Her main areas of research focus on multispecies seminal oxidative stress and the development of innovative treatment protocols aimed at combating equine infertility.  

In recognition of her scientific expertise, she actively contributes to prestigious international journals as a reviewer, as Review Editor for *Frontiers in Veterinary Science* (Section: Animal Reproduction), and as Guest Editor for a special issue entitled “Oxidative Stress and Antioxidants: Impact on Reproduction” in the journal "Life"

In terms of teaching, since 2022 she has held teaching positions in the fields of Reproductive Physiopathology and Veterinary Obstetrics within the degree cosurses in Veterinary Medicine and Production Management, as well as the Postgraduate School in Reproductive Physiopathology. Her academic profile is complemented by extensive experience in tutoring and supporting students.
