Ezio Lanza is a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist (EBIR). He is the Head of Interventional Radiology at San Giuseppe Hospital in Milan and Inter-hospital Coordinator of Interventional Radiology for the Multimedica Group since 2026. He also carried out clinical and research work as a Junior Consultant in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and as a University Research Fellow (RTD-A, SSD MEDS-22/A) at Humanitas University and the IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital until 29 September 2026.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery (Università di Palermo, 110/110 with honors), specialized in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology (University of Milan) and has over fifteen years of clinical experience, comprising more than 70,000 diagnostic examinations (CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound) and over 10.000 interventional radiology procedures as the lead operator, with a particular focus on interventional liver oncology (TAE/TACE, percutaneous ablations), vascular and musculoskeletal diseases.
His research, with an H-index of 18 and 67 publications indexed in international journals, focuses on artificial intelligence applied to imaging (deep learning for pulmonary embolism), interventional oncological radiology and clinical outcomes in hepatobiliary oncology. He is an Academic Editor for European Radiology Experimental, PLOS One and SN Comprehensive Medicine, and a reviewer for several international journals in the field.
