Sara Del Galdo is a fixed-term researcher in the field of General and Inorganic Chemistry. She attained her Master's Degree and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and gained post-doctoral experience at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa and the University of L'Aquila. From 2022 to 2024, she was a fixed-term researcher (RTD-A) and subsequently a research fellow at the Department of Sciences of Roma Tre University.
She specializes in Computational Chemistry, with methodological skills ranging from quantum mechanics simulations to molecular dynamics, coarse-grained methodologies, and multiscale models. Her interests focus mainly on the study of the properties of soft matter of biological relevance (e.g., protein solutions, nucleic acids, biocompatible polymers, and organic molecules), with particular attention to hydration/solvation phenomena, conformational equilibria, and thermodynamic properties.
