Filippo Migliorini is Associate Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, Health, and Health Professions at Link Campus University in Rome, Italy.
Greaduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery at the University Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, discussing a final dissertation in “Study of joint biomechanics and aetiopathogenetic factors using finite element analysis” at Centre for Advanced Biomechanics, Beth Israel Deaconess Center, Harvard Medical Teaching School, Boston, USA. He enrolled in the specialization course in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Department of Orthopaedic, Traumatological and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital in Aachen, Germany. He obtained his PhD in Biomechanics at the Faculty of Medicine of the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. In May 2022 he obtained the Venia Legendi, prestigious academic qualification in the German university model, and attained the Chair of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the RWTH University in Aachen, Germany. Since 2022, he has been in charge of the Research Department in Clinical Orthopaedics at the Eifelklinik St. Brigid in Simmerath, Germany, where he conducts randomised clinical trials on the application of robotic prosthetic hip and knee surgery. Since July 2023, he has been practising as a specialist in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Regional Hospital of Bolzano, Italy.
As of 2021, Prof Migliorini is ranked among the world's top 2% of scientists according to an observer at Standford University, USA.He is currently ranked by a US observatory among the world's top experts in various fields, from knee (3rd out of 77440 world-wide, https://expertscape.com/ex/knee) to the entire lower limb (3rd out of 119352 world-wide, https://expertscape.com/ex/bones+of+lower+extremity). Since 2021, he has been conducting international masters and research projects, testing implants and biomaterials, and publishing surgical techniques and studies in various disciplines.He a member of the editorial board of several international indexed scientific journals of orthopaedic relevance.
