Romina Gurashi, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of General Sociology (GSPS-05/A) at Link Campus University. Throughout her academic career, she has served as Assistant Professor at the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma – UNINT and as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Sapienza University of Rome. In the context of her engagement with national and international research associations, Romina Gurashi is currently President of the Albanian Sociological Association (ALBSA), a member of the Scientific Board of Research Network 36 – Sociology of Transformations: East and West of the European Sociological Association (ESA), and a member of the Scientific Board of the Section Sociological Theory and Social Transformations of the Italian Sociological Association (AIS). She is also Managing Editor of the Rivista Trimestrale di Scienza dell’Amministrazione. Studi di Teoria e Ricerca Sociale and Deputy Editor of Studime Sociale/Social Studies, published by the Albanian Institute of Sociology and the Albanian Sociological Association.

Her research interests include the mutually constitutive processes of peace and sustainable development; macro, meso and micro dynamics of social change related to security; smart society and globalization; conflict and integration; sociological theory, including classical theory; and processes of social and identity recognition through Made in Italy.

Among her recent publications are: Sustainable Development and Peace. A Study in Sociological Theory, Routledge, 2023; and “World disorder and peace research: a sociological, post-nationalist reading of the pathway to sustainable peace”, Contemporary Social Science, 17(1), 2021.
