Associate Professor of Applied Economics at Link Campus University. In 2016 she took on the role of Lecturer at the Department of Econnomics University College London (UCL). Over the course of her 20-year career, Silvia has taught three-year master's and doctoral degree courses at renowned national and international universities, such as Bocconi University and Oxford University.
Her research is focused on development economics and financial intermediaries, with a particular emphasis on cryptocurrencies. Silvia is also actively engaged in research in pedagogy and in the area of multimedia valuation tools, more specifically.
Silvia has proactively promoted the Third Mission of the University. For example, she coordinated a project aimed at minimizing the difference among the marks attained by students from different ethnic and social groups.
Silvia is Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA) and before embarking on her academic career, she worked as a consultant for some important national and international institutions, such as the Italian Ministry of Industry, the British Ministry of Development and UNESCO.
She graduated in Political Economy at Bocconi University. She attained the Master of Science in Economics for Development Oxford University and the Doctorate in Political Economy at the University of Pavia.
The professor is available to receive the students at the end of the lessons. However, the students may also request an appointment by email.
