Marianna Abate is fixed-term researcher, SSD BIO/10 at the Department of Life Sciences, Health and Health Professions at Link Campus University. After attaining a Master's Degree in Biological Sciences LM-6 at the University of Naples Federico II in 2016, she attained a PhD in Biochemical and Biotechnological Sciences at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", conducting advanced research aimed at developing oncological nanomedicine strategies based on the targeted delivery of therapeutic microRNAs as a precision gene therapy approach, thanks in part to her stay at the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), Faculty of Biomedical Engineering (FBME), Kladno, Czech Republic.
From 2024 to 2025, she was Subject Expert for Sector BIOS-07/A, English-language Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli".
From 2021 to 2024, she was Subject Expert for Sector BIO/12, Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli".
Throughout her career, Dr. has gained solid experience in biotechnology, in the use of advanced cellular and molecular biology techniques, in the development and characterization of nanoparticles, in the management of preclinical models, as well as in flow cytometry and liquid biopsy methods. Her research has been conducted at the Department of Precision Medicine at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” and the “Gaetano Salvatore” Institute of Genetic Research (BioGeM Scarl).
