Serena Busti is a fixed-term researcher on the tenure track (RTT) in the AGRI-09/D research area – Animal Husbandry – at the Department of Life Sciences, Health, and Health Professions, Link Campus University.

She attained a Ph.D. in Veterinary Science at the University of Bologna in 2024, where she conducted research on the nutrition and health of marine fish species.

Throughout her career, she has participated in various national and international research projects in aquaculture, with a particular focus on the development of sustainable feed ingredients and the study of the effects of diet on fish growth, gut health, and physiological parameters.

Her research combines experimental and molecular approaches, including gene expression analysis and nutritional assessments, with the aim of improving the sustainability and efficiency of aquaculture systems.
