Research and Projects - 2016

Titolo: Mu.SA - Museum Sector Alliance

Start date: 01/11/2016
Finish date: 01/10/2019
Client/Partner/RTI:
Partnership EU, coordinator Hellenic Open University (HOU)

Description:
The aim of the project is to address the growing gap between formal education training and the labour market due to the emergence of new job roles resulting from the increasing use of new technologies and ICT in the museum sector.
Mu.SA directly addresses the shortage of digital and transferable skills identified in the museum sector and supports the continuous vocational training of museum professionals.
A set of job profiles in the emerging categories will be identified from the analysis of training needs and offers. For each of them, a modular VET curriculum and vocational training will be designed, applying a VET-specific vocational training methodology based on learning outcomes and adult education principles.
To support the acquisition of more than 40 digital and transversal competences, a repository of digital OERs will be developed. The use of these will then be offered, a MOOC to acquire the basic competences of the role profiles, a specialisation course, consisting of e-learning and face-to-face lessons, and a work-based learning phase. The training will be offered via an online platform that stimulates the sharing and exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices. Communities of practice will be formed to ensure the sustainability of the results beyond the end of the project.

Activities carried out:
Management of the project
Identification of the emerging roles of museum professionals and map of training needs
Design and development of training methodologies and content
Selecting and involving participants in piloting course and providing MOOCs in Italy
Contributing to the delivery of the trainers' course and the Master Course in Italy
Participating in the evaluation of the project results.

Title: DECODE - DEvelop COmpetences in Digital Era. Expertise, best practices and teaching in the XXI cent

Start date: 01/09/2016
Finish date: 01/09/2019
Client/Partner/RTI: INDIRE. Coordinator Foundation Link Campus University

Description:
Knowledge of the state of the art of the entire education system in the comparison/experimentation/incorporation of ICT in teaching practices is a fundamenta pre-requisite for the development of a new thought on education that in the 21st century cannot fail to seriously and critically confront, without prejudice, the sense and value of new technologies in the integral formation of man and for the renewal of organisational and productive processes.
One of the most significant problems affecting the development of old and new media in educational systems, and the necessary critical-assessment reflection that should accompany every learning context, is the absence of a systemic vision of the different educational levels, and the lack of clear empirical data on the use of these tools in teaching practices.
The first objective of the DECODE project is therefore to: a) fill this information gap, also from a comparative perspective; b) with a view to designing improvement actions targeted at the development and accompanying needs identified.

Activities carried out:

  • identify, also from a comparative point of view, good practices to be tested and transferred in the national context, which suffers from a significant delay in the valorisation/integration of the CTAs
  • map the framework of skills and training needs characterising teaching professionalism in the digital age, also in order to support strategic decisions on training, refresher courses and in-service support.
  • identify emerging competence profiles prompted by the changes observed within the new educational paradigm
  • develop paths for integrating CT in education (example: gamification in education)

Title: PRIN: Comizi d’amore. Il cinema e la questione sessuale in Italia (1948-1978)

Start date: - Finish date:  2016 - 2019

Client/Partner/RTI:
Università degli Studi di Milano (National Coordinator)
Università Telematica “E-Campus”
Università degli Studi Link Campus University
Università degli Studi di Messina

Description:
The project has a twofold aim. On the one hand, it intends to study how sexuality was represented in the Italian cinema in the period between 1948 (the date of the first elections of the new Republic that gave the DC the government of the country for over forty years) and 1978 (the date that saw the opening in Italy of the first theatres for the screening of pornographic films).
On the other hand, to investigate the discourses contextually produced in Italy on sexuality as it was specifically addressed by cinema (first and foremost the Italian cinema, but not only). The analysis of the ways in which Italian cinema has represented the sexual question will therefore be contextualised in the broader sphere of discourses on the relationship between cinema and sexuality, which the project intends to reconstruct through archive investigations and the perusal of newspapers and magazines.
