CERIPI - INTERNATIONAL POLITICS RESEARCH CENTRE

CERIPI is the Research Centre on International Politics at LINK Campus University. The objectives of the research centre are the following:

  1. improvement of knowledge and skills of the academic body (students and professors) on the political, social, economic and geostrategic aspects that characterize the international scenario, promoting multidisciplinary analysis and research activities;
  2. development of awareness-raising capabilities, communication, information on issues of international and national relevance and related to stakeholders and social partners;
  3. refinement of the students' analytical and comprehension skills and direct involvement in the organization and development of in-depth analysis, discussion and communication initiatives related to international issues.

CERIPI aims to analyze the international system and the relationships among the many and varied stakeholders that influence and are influenced by it. The centre envisions three main research directions: space, time and themes.

International politics is articulated by contiguous and interconnected spaces that can quickly and unexpectedly reconfigure, becoming stable, conflicting, magmatic.

The times of change and transformations and the reaction times are quite often not synchronized with the emerging crises. As a matter of fact, said scenarios require specific choices, pondered with extraordinary analytical skills and political acumen. Finally, CERIPI is projected into the future, allowing us to look beyond the contingent and imagine processes, transformations and evolutions, contributing through research with ideas, impulses, projects.

Furthermore, CERIPI will attempt to explore the most salient themes of international politics through the spatial and temporal dimensions, with special focus on: artificial intelligence, disinformation, visual politics, art and politics, strategic foresight, crisis, war and peace, inequalities, ideologies and religions, populisms, democracy and autocracy, globalism, development, sustainability, infrastructure, resources.

CERIPI adopts an interdisciplinary approach and will therefore collaborate with other research centres in the university. CERIPI aims to be an open place, a kind of construction site that promotes contamination and participation. In carrying out its activities, CERIPI encourages shared projects with scholars from other Italian and international universities and research institutes, creating dynamic collaboration networks.

CERIPI's strong point is its connection with GEOHUB, an initiative promoted by Link Campus University students from various degree courses, dedicated to information and dissemination, with international politics as the main focus of research. GEOHUB takes the form of a blog, entirely managed by the students in coordination with CERIPI at every stage, from the drafting of articles to the maintenance of the website and social profiles.
