The aim of the Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences (L-22) is to train professional figures able to promote and develop mental and physical well-being through physical activity and sports, at different stages of life.
The learning pathway integrates scientific, methodological, and technical-applied knowledge related to human movement, enabling students to develop skills in the areas of preventive, educational, recreational, and sports-related physical activity; physical conditioning; health promotion; and the management of sports organizations.
Through a multidisciplinary approach, the learning pathway provides a solid foundation in the biomedical, kinesiology, educational, psychological, legal, and economic disciplines, preparing graduates to work in sports, educational, recreational, and health-oriented settings, meeting the needs of a society that is increasingly aware of the importance of physical activity and active lifestyles.

The Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports Sciences serves as the natural first step for the pursuit of a Master’s Degrees in the field of physical education (LM-67, LM-68, and LM-47). In particular, earning a Master’s Degree in Sports Sciences and Techniques (LM-68), along with meeting the additional requirements set forth by current regulations, is one of the pathways required to becoming a teacher of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in secondary schools.
TUTORING
The course supports students through 4 different types of tutoring:
- Orientation and transversal tutoring, carried out by Education Coordinators, aimed at supporting the students in the reception phase, introducing them into the university life, monitoring their learning pathway, motiving them throughout the course (with special reference to the planned results), supporting them in bureaucratic procedures, the latter in collaboration with the Student Administration Office;
- international tutoring, carried out by the International Office, which wil offer personalized assistance to both international students enrolled in the degree course and Erasmus students;
- didactic tutoring, provided by the didactic support staff (teaching assistants, doctoral students, holders of supplementary teaching contracts, etc.), who will support the students with supplementary teaching activities related to the specific subjects of the learning pathways;
- specialized tutoring, carried out by Education Coordination for inclusion, aimed at students with disabilities or specific learning disorders and special educational needs, aimed at reducing the obstacles that might prevent their full integration in the academic environment.
