Academic Collaboration
The Master is supported by the expertise of professors, healthcare executives, managers in the healthcare professions, and experts in organizational governance, quality, patient safety, digital innovation and human resources management, drawn from academic, hospital and community healthcare settings.
Purposes
The aim of the II Level Master Programme in "Healthcare Management and Human Resources Management" is to meet the needs of a constantly evolving healthcare system, which requires professionals capable of managing organisational complexity and maximising the value of human capital through advanced skills in management, organization, leadership and human resources management.
The Master is aimed at healthcare professionals who wish to develop advanced skills in order to pursue roles involving organizational, managerial or functional responsibility within public and private healthcare organizations, National Health Service bodies, accredited facilities and social and healthcare organizations.
The Master offers an interdisciplinary education focused on the governance of healthcare services, the strategic management of human resources, the development of professional skills, the planning and organization of processes, the quality and safety of care, clinical governance, digital innovation and the sustainability of healthcare organizations.
Through a strongly practice-oriented approach, the master enables the candidates to acquire practical tools to drive organizational change, select, develop, motivate and make the most of human capital, promote multidisciplinary work and support decision-making processes using evidence-based management methodologies.
The aim is to train professionals capable of navigating the growing complexity of healthcare systems and, through advanced managerial skills, contributing to the development of organizations that are more efficient, innovative and safe, with a focus on service quality and putting the patient at the centre.
Target Students
The Master is aimed at candidates with a Master’s Degree in the healthcare professions of nursing and obstetrics, rehabilitation, healthcare technology and prevention, in accordance with Law N. 251/2000, as well as candidates with a Single Cycle Master’s Degree in healthcare and social sciences.
Educational Objectives
The aim of the Master is to develop advanced skills in healthcare management and human resources management, preparing professionals to take on roles of organizational, managerial and functional responsibility within public and private healthcare organizations.
Upon completion of the Master, the candidates will be able to:
- govern the organisation and processes of healthcare services;
- strategically manage human resources, fostering skills, leadership and teamwork;
- apply tools for planning, management control, project management and performance evaluation;
- promote quality, safety of care and clinical governance;
- manage organizational change, digital innovation and the development of healthcare organisations;
- support decision-making processes through methodologies based on evidence, data analysis and the evaluation of outcomes.
Didactics
The Master, established pursuant to Ministerial Decree 270/2004, has a duration of 12 months, with a total commitment of 1,500 hours, divided as follows:
- Asynchronous video lessons: accessible 24/7, accompanied by slides and teaching materials.
- Synchronous lessons in virtual classrooms and in person: to interact directly with teachers according to a scheduled timetable.
- Individual study and research activities: to independently explore and consolidate the content learned in the Master's programme.
- Exercises and mid-term assessments: to evaluate learning levels and form part of the assessment process.
- Project work: for active experimentation with the content learned during the educational programme.
Master Diploma
The final examination consists of the preparation and discussion of a project based on a practical case study, to be presented in person before a committee. Upon passing the examination, the Master will be awarded.
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for the master is € 4.500,00.
